Voltas names ITC veteran Karan Sehgal to succeed Jogesh Jaitly as Head of Sales, Unitary Products

Voltas Limited has unveiled a leadership transition in its Unitary Products business as it signs off on a long-tenured head and brings in a new executive to carry the mantle forward. Jogesh Jaitly, who has steered Voltas’ room air conditioning sales, will retire on 31 March 2027 upon reaching the age of superannuation, marking the end of a decade-plus association with the company and a notable contribution to the business’ growth trajectory.

To ensure a seamless transition, Voltas has appointed Karan Sehgal to join the company on 3 August 2026. After a structured transition and induction program, Sehgal will assume responsibility as Head Sales, Unitary Products Business with effect from 1 October 2026. Jaitly will continue in service until his retirement and will work closely with Sehgal to facilitate an orderly handover of responsibilities.

Sehgal arrives at Voltas from ITC Limited, where he built a career spanning multiple leadership assignments, most recently as General Manager, Marketing Development for the tobacco division. He is an alumnus of the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi, and is expected to bring a wealth of experience in leading large sales teams, strengthening route-to-market capabilities, and delivering sustained growth in competitive markets. This leadership succession underscores Voltas’ emphasis on continuity and market-focused execution as it charts the next phase of growth in the Unitary Products segment.
