Uniinfo Telecom appoints Independent Director as board refresh continues; Prakash Chandra Chhajed resigns

Uniinfo Telecom Services Limited has taken a step to refresh its board by appointing Manojkumar Bhagirathprasad Rawat as an Additional Director in the capacity of Independent Non-Executive Director, for a five-year term from 18 July 2026 to 17 July 2031, subject to requisite approval of the members. The development comes as part of the company’s ongoing governance enhancements overseen by its Nomination and Remuneration Committee, with the board noting the change in the lineup of independent directors.

Rawat, a retired banker with a three-decade career at State Bank of India, brings deep finance and regulatory insight to the boardroom. The company highlights his independence and ethical approach, underscoring the value of experienced oversight as Uniinfo looks to strengthen governance and strategic decision-making in a dynamic telecom landscape.

Concurrently, the board acknowledged the resignation of Prakash Chandra Chhajed as Independent Director, effective at the close of business on 20 June 2026. The move marks a routine transition in the company’s independent-director cadre, while opening space for fresh perspectives at the governance table.

Together, these changes reflect Uniinfo’s appetite for continuity and renewal in its leadership, aiming to balance seasoned oversight with new insights as it steers its strategic ambitions in the telecom services space.
