Swaraj Engines Limited’s board has approved the appointment of Sanjay Kshirsagar as an Additional Director with effect from 1 September 2026, and, in the same meeting, designated him as a Whole Time Director and Chief Executive Officer for a three-year term from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2029, subject to shareholder approval. The move follows a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and underscores the company’s focus on strengthening leadership as it charts its growth path.
Sanjay Kshirsagar, 57, is a mechanical engineer with a post‑graduate degree in financial management and over three decades of experience in projects and manufacturing operations. He is currently the CEO designate of Swaraj Engines Limited. Prior to joining Swaraj, he oversaw Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s engine plants at Chakan and Igatpuri, driving substantial volume ramp-ups for major PV and CV programs, and played a key role in the merger of Mahindra Heavy Engines with M&M. His background also includes leadership in manufacturing digitization, Lean and TPM initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering and production premieres.
The appointment signals Swaraj Engines’ intent to harness his track record of operational excellence and strategic manufacturing leadership as it continues to scale. The arrangement is subject to the necessary approvals of the shareholders, after which Kshirsagar will assume the executive responsibilities as Whole Time Director and CEO for a specified three-year horizon.
