Sumitomo Chemical India Announces Resignation of Non-Executive Director Ninad D. Gupte

Sumitomo Chemical India Limited has informed the stock exchanges of a board change, signaling a shift in its governance lineup. Ninad D. Gupte, a Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director, has tendered his resignation effective at the close of business on 31 August 2026.

Gupte’s resignation letter to the Chairman cites personal reasons, with the company confirming that there are no other material reasons behind his departure.

Beyond his tenure at Sumitomo Chemical India, the director also served as an Independent Director at Excel Industries Limited, where he has chaired the Nomination & Remuneration Committee and sat on the Audit and Risk Management Committees.
