SKF India (Industrial) Limited appoints Mukund Vasudevan as Non-Executive Director following MD transition

SKF India (Industrial) Limited has named Mukund Vasudevan as a Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director on its board, with effect from 1 September 2026. The appointment follows a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and approval by the Board on 11 August 2026, with shareholders confirming the move through a postal ballot whose results were declared on 15 October 2026.

Vasudevan previously served as the company’s Managing Director. He resigned from that role at the close of business on 31 August 2026 and transitioned to a Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director role from 1 September 2026. The shift marks a governance-led transition intended to preserve leadership continuity while bringing fresh strategic perspective to the board.

A seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in P&L management, strategy development, sales and M&A across India, the Middle East and the USA, Vasudevan holds a BTech from IIT Bombay and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the University of Chicago. Described as an entrepreneurial, results-driven leader who has built high-performing teams, he is not related to any of SKF India’s directors or key managerial personnel. The move is seen as reinforcing board strengths amid SKF India’s ongoing growth and strategic initiatives.
