RMC Switchgears Limited has announced a leadership move at the board level, naming Dilip Panjwani as an Additional Director in the Non-Executive Independent category, effective 12 September 2026. The appointment, the company says, is subject to the requisite approval of the shareholders, signaling a planned strengthening of governance and strategic oversight as the board continues to refine its leadership slate.
Panjwani is described as a finance professional with more than 25 years of experience spanning financial management, strategic finance, corporate governance, fund-raising, mergers and acquisitions, and business transformation. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary, and holds a B.Com degree from Kakatiya University. His career includes senior roles such as Chief Financial Officer, Global CFO, EVP & CFO – Strategic Finance, Financial Controller, and Company Secretary & Compliance Officer, with a track record in listed-company compliance, investor relations, and financial reporting.
The company notes that the appointment is part of a broader board process, including the drafting of a notice for a postal ballot to secure shareholder approval and the appointment of a scrutinizer to conduct the process. In line with corporate governance practices, the decision aligns with strengthening board capability in financial stewardship and strategic oversight, positions that could support RMC Switchgears as it pursues growth and transformation initiatives. Trading guidelines remain in place, with the trading window opening on 15 September 2026 for eligible individuals and entities.
