Prabha Energy Limited has announced two leadership moves that signal a blend of governance focus and continuity in its leadership bench. The board has approved the appointment of Shaily Dedhia as a Non-Executive Independent Director, with effect from June 27, 2027, subject to the approval of shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting. Dedhia brings a strong governance and secretarial background to the board, having built a career as a Company Secretary with over 17 years of experience in legal and corporate matters. Her professional pedigree includes engagements with entities such as the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for the Mumbai Metro Rail Project and the Sheth Creators Group of Companies. She is not disqualified from holding the office of an Independent Director under applicable law, and the company has confirmed she has given her consent to act.
In another move aligned with strategic leadership continuity, the board has re-appointed Prem Singh Sawhney as Executive Director for a further three-year term, with effect from February 20, 2027, pending shareholder approval at the upcoming AGM. Sawhney, who holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from NIT Warangal and an M.Tech from IIT Mumbai, brings more than four decades of broad-based experience in conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon exploration and production, along with related ventures such as Underground Coal Gasification. His background spans project management, drilling programs, production operations, and the design and construction of surface facilities. He is not disqualified from serving as a director under applicable law and has consented to act in the role.
Together, these moves underscore Prabha Energy’s emphasis on governance and leadership continuity as it navigates its strategic objectives in the oil and gas sector. The appointments reflect a balance between independent oversight at the board level and seasoned executive leadership to drive execution and long-term value creation, subject to the requisite shareholder approvals at the AGM.
