PNB Housing Finance appoints internal successor as CIO after resignation of Anubhav Rajput

PNB Housing Finance Limited has announced a leadership transition in its information technology function, following the resignation of Anubhav Rajput, the Chief Information Officer (Function Head). Rajput, who has decided to pursue an alternate career path, will be relieved from the company on September 7, 2026. In a swift internal move, Santosh Kumar Singh, who has been serving as Deputy CIO, will take charge as Chief Information Officer with effect from September 8, 2026, ensuring a seamless handover of IT leadership.

Santosh Kumar Singh is described as a seasoned financial services IT professional with more than 26 years of experience across prominent institutions. He holds a B Tech from IIT (BHU) Varanasi and an MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research. He joined PNB Housing Finance in August 2026 as Deputy CIO and has prior experience spanning roles at Infosys, ICICI Bank, L&T Finance Holdings, Qualtech Consultants Pvt. Ltd., and leadership positions in Climate Finance India P. Ltd., Centrum Group, and Unity Small Finance Bank, among others. His broad exposure to housing finance, NBFCs, lending platforms, and related segments positions him to oversee the IT function at a time when digital initiatives are increasingly central to the company’s strategy.

The transition underscores an internal succession, signaling continuity at the helm of IT as PNB Housing Finance navigates a rapidly digitizing financial landscape. As CIO, Singh will be responsible for steering technology strategy, infrastructure, and digital initiatives that support the lender’s customer experience, risk management, and operational efficiency. The appointment follows Rajput’s departure to pursue new opportunities, with the company emphasizing a smooth transition to maintain momentum in its technology programs and roadmap.

This leadership reshuffle at the executive level reflects a broader industry pattern where seasoned internal talent is elevated to sustain momentum on digital priorities. For PNB Housing Finance, the change at the CIO level will be closely watched for how it translates into execution of IT-driven growth and customer-centric innovations in a competitive housing finance segment.
