MSTC Limited appoints Government Nominee Director Santosh to Board, replacing Sudershan Mendiratta

MSTC Limited, the government-owned e-marketplace and e-auction arm, is reshaping its board with the appointment of a Government Nominee Director. The company said today that Ms. Santosh has been appointed to the Board of Directors, with immediate effect and until further orders, to fill the seat left by Ms. Sudershan Mendiratta. The move marks an ongoing alignment of MSTC’s governance with government representation at the highest levels of decision-making.

Ms. Santosh, a Statistical Adviser with the Ministry of Steel, belongs to the Indian Statistical Services (1999 batch) and brings more than 25 years of public administration experience. Her career spans roles across central ministries and state-owned enterprises, including Deputy Director General at the Ministry of Coal and board-level stints at Central Coalfields Limited, Eastern Coalfields Limited, and Singareni Collieries Company Limited. She joined NITI Aayog in 2001 and is noted for her statistical and policy leadership within the government.

The Board, via circulation, approved Ms. Santosh’s appointment as Government Nominee Director on MSTC Limited’s Board, effective 7 August 2026, until further orders. She is stated to be unrelated to any Director or Key Managerial Personnel of the company and is not debarred from holding office by SEBI or any other authority. In parallel, Ms. Sudershan Mendiratta ceased to be a Director of the Company with effect from 6 August 2026, as the government continues to recalibrate the leadership framework at MSTC.
