Marico Announces Retirement of Independent Director Rajeev Vasudeva; Bhaskar Bhat Named Chairman of Nomination & Remuneration Committee

Marico Limited has announced a leadership transition at the board level, confirming the retirement of independent director Rajeev Vasudeva. Vasudeva has informed the company that, due to growing professional commitments, he will not seek re-appointment after completing his current term, and will retire as an Independent Director at the end of the day on October 31, 2026. He will also cease to chair the Nomination and Remuneration Committee from that same date, marking the end of a notable chapter on the governance front for Marico.

In parallel, Bhaskar Bhat, another Independent Director, has been appointed as Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee with effect from November 1, 2026. The appointment signals a continuity of governance leadership as the committee continues its oversight of board composition and remuneration practices amid a changing board room dynamic.

Marico’s board and management expressed appreciation for Vasudeva’s contributions over the years, underscoring a commitment to steady leadership and governance excellence. The governance shuffle, paired with the new committee chair, reflects the company’s ongoing focus on independent oversight and strategic oversight as it navigates the next phase of growth.
