The Karnataka Bank Limited has announced a senior-management reshuffle that will see four long-serving executives elevated to higher leadership roles, with effect from November 1, 2026. The bank confirmed promotions across its senior ranks, underscoring a continued emphasis on governance, risk management, compliance, and technology-enabled banking. The changes are internal but mark a notable realignment of the bank’s top-tier leadership, expanding the cadre of Chief General Managers and General Managers within its management structure.
Raghuram H S is set to advance from General Manager to Chief General Manager. A banking professional with over three decades in risk management, credit, treasury, and technology, he joined Karnataka Bank in 1994 as a Clerk and has progressed through a spectrum of operational and leadership roles. He has served as Assistant General Manager for Corporate and Mid-Corporate business, headed the Risk Management Department as Interim Chief Risk Officer and Principal Officer, and led enterprise-wide risk governance and management initiatives. His broadened remit as Chief General Manager reflects his breadth across risk governance, information technology, and human resources, among other portfolios.
Vinaya Bhat P J, also promoted to Chief General Manager, brings nearly three decades of experience spanning treasury, compliance, and digital channels. Since joining in 1997 as a Typist-cum-Clerk, he has held pivotal roles across Integrated Treasury, Treasury & Accounts, and Credit Sanctions, culminating in leadership positions including Head of Compliance and Chief Compliance Officer. He has overseen AML, KYC, and CFT frameworks as Principal Officer, ensuring regulatory adherence and robust governance—credentials that align with his elevation to the bank’s top executive tier.
Arul Raj Gomez A and Jagadeesha D G are being elevated to General Manager. Arul Raj Gomez A, a multifaceted technology and information systems leader, has spent over 20 years in banking operations, risk management, digital channels, and information security. He holds an array of certifications (CISA, CISM, CEH, CRISC, CISSP, CCISO) and has built a track record in governance and control frameworks. Jagadeesha D G, a technology and digital-expertise professional, has driven IT operations, digital transformation, and information security initiatives since joining the bank in 1997. He was promoted to General Manager in recognition of his leadership in IT governance, cyber security, and technology risk management. Together, these internal moves signal Karnataka Bank’s intent to deepen leadership depth in risk, compliance, and technology, reinforcing its capability to navigate a rapidly evolving banking landscape.
