Info Edge (India) Limited has unveiled a leadership reshuffle that spans the boardroom and the finance suite. In a September 14, 2026 board meeting, the company appointed Naresh Chand Gupta as an Additional Director to be designated as a Non-Executive Independent Director for a five-year term starting October 1, 2026, subject to shareholders’ approval via postal ballot. Gupta is presented as not related to the company’s directors, and the appointment signals a fresh independent perspective as the business looks ahead.
Separately, the board confirmed a transition in the finance leadership. Himanshu Agarwal will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer (KMP) and Additional Director with effect from September 17, 2026, to be designated as Whole-time Director and CFO. This change triggers the conclusion of Ambarish Raghuvanshi’s tenure as Interim CFO and KMP, effective the close of business on September 16, 2026. Raghuvanshi will remain with the company as Finance Advisor through October 31, 2026 to ensure a smooth handover, reflecting a measured approach to leadership continuity during the transition.
The governance layer of the company is also being recalibrated. In light of the KMP changes, the board revised authorization for materiality determinations and disclosures to stock exchanges. It further reconstituted key committees: the Risk Management Committee now includes Agarwal as a member alongside existing directors, and the Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting Committee (BRSR) has also been reconstituted with Agarwal as a member. These moves underscore Info Edge’s intent to align governance and risk oversight with its evolving leadership profile. As the company’s leadership emphasized strengthening core businesses and pursuing value creation, the leadership refresh is being framed as a strategic step in the AI-enabled era the company envisions.
