ICICI Prudential AMC reshuffles board as Anindya Banerjee to join as Non-Executive Director; Sidharatha Mishra resigns

ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company Limited is reshaping its board with a governance move that underscores continuity and financial leadership. The company’s Board, by circular resolution dated October 5, 2026, noted the resignation of Sidharatha Mishra as Non-Executive Director, effective at the close of business on October 5, 2026. In the same breath, the Board approved the appointment of Anindya Banerjee as a Non-Executive (Additional) Director, with effect from October 6, 2026, subject to approval by the shareholders. The company confirms that Banerjee is not debarred from holding the office of Director by any regulatory authority.

Anindya Banerjee brings a deep financial and strategic background to the board. He is a chartered accountant who joined the ICICI Group in 1998 and has worked across corporate banking, planning and strategy, investor relations, external reporting, and mergers and acquisitions. Notably, he served as Group Chief Financial Officer of ICICI Bank from May 1, 2022, with responsibilities spanning financial reporting, planning and strategy, asset-liability management, ESG and CSR, and other governance functions. His appointment is framed as a continuation of strong financial and strategic oversight at a time when the asset management business navigates a dynamic market landscape.

The changes reflect a deliberate refresh of the company’s leadership bench at the board level. While Mishra’s departure marks the end of his tenure as Non-Executive Director, Banerjee’s entry as an Additional Director is positioned to contribute to governance, oversight, and strategic discourse on the asset management platform. The move, contingent on shareholder approval, signals a focus on sustaining robust governance and strategic direction for ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company Limited.
