HPCL names Srividya Venkataraman as CFO to chart new financial course

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited has named Srividya Venkataraman as Chief Financial Officer, effective July 7, 2026, with the board confirming the move and designating her as a Key Managerial Personnel. She takes over the CFO role from K Vinod, who has been serving as Executive Director – Corporate Finance and Additional Charge of Treasury, marking a significant leadership reshuffle in HPCL’s finance function.

Ms. Venkataraman brings more than three decades of finance leadership across India’s energy sector. A Chartered Accountant and Cost & Works Accountant, she previously served as Executive Director – Corporate Treasury at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), where she steered treasury, investor relations, pension fund investments, pricing and taxation. In that role, she helped mobilize substantial project financing and steered a robust capital-structure and risk-management framework, underscoring a track record of strategic financial stewardship.

Her career spans treasury and governance across HPCL’s broader business lines, including leadership stints in Retail and LPG as well as involvement in government subsidy initiatives. The annexure notes her instrumental role in flagship programs such as Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), reflecting a portfolio that blends financial discipline with policy-led execution and digital-finance enhancements.

The company also states that Ms. Venkataraman is not related to any of HPCL’s directors, reinforcing a clear governance angle to this appointment. Alongside her, Rakesh Kumar Singh remains the Company Secretary & Compliance Officer, a reminder that HPCL intends to reinforce its executive leadership team with seasoned financial leadership capable of guiding strategy, capital allocation, and stakeholder engagement.
