HAL readies leadership transition as Executive Director (Finance) R. Sriram retires

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is undergoing a leadership transition as it confirms the departure of its finance chief. R Sriram, who serves as Executive Director (Finance), will superannuate on 30 September 2026, marking the end of his tenure in HAL’s top management.

During his tenure, Sriram has steered the finance function through tight budgets, capital allocation decisions, and financial governance for the aerospace group. His departure comes as HAL continues to navigate a portfolio that includes large-scale programmes and long-term funding commitments.

The company will now turn to identifying a successor to sustain momentum on HAL’s financial strategy, governance, and risk management. In the wake of this change, HAL’s board and leadership will focus on ensuring a smooth transition that preserves continuity for investors and strategic partners.

As HAL contends with industry dynamics and milestones in its aerospace ambitions, leadership changes at the executive level underscore the crucial role of finance leadership in steering the organisation through a phase of growth and capital-intensive programmes.
