BoB elevates two CGMs in Bandra Kurla Complex as part of leadership refresh

Bank of Baroda has reshuffled its senior leadership at the Bandra Kurla Complex hub, naming two Chief General Managers to new portfolios. The bank announced that Singh Shailendra H and Ashwini Kumar have been appointed to CGM roles, with designation changes effective 22 July 2026. The moves underline BoB’s ongoing emphasis on aligning marketing strategy with human- resource technologies and management at the bank’s central operations center in Mumbai.

Singh Shailendra H will take charge as CGM, Marketing & HR Automation, BCC, Mumbai, bringing his long-tenured experience to bear on BoB’s initiatives to fuse marketing outreach with people-process automation. Ashwini Kumar will assume the post of CGM, HRM, BCC, Mumbai, stewarded by more than three decades of service in the bank. Both profiles highlight a cadre of seasoned bankers stepping into broader, cross-functional leadership roles as the institution continues its modernization drive.

The appointments reflect BoB’s preference for internal progression and continuity at a time when financial institutions are recalibrating customer experience, digital channels, and internal operations. By elevating senior managers already embedded in the Bank’s culture and systems, BoB signals a focus on sustaining momentum in marketing integration, HR management, and technology-enabled governance from its central Mumbai base.

Taken together, the moves embody a leadership-wind within Bank of Baroda that prioritizes depth of experience over external hiring. As BoB deepens its internal bench, stakeholders can watch how these changes influence strategy across marketing, HR, and automation—areas poised to define the bank’s competitive edge in a crowded Indian banking landscape.
