Bharat Coking Coal Limited has declared a sweeping internal reshuffle of its Senior Management Personnel, signaling a deliberate reconfiguration of leadership across its mining footprint. The office order outlines ten transfers and postings that touch several key operating areas, from Barora and Sijua to Govindpur, Katras, Bastacolla and beyond, and even an Infrastructure leadership slot at JRDA. The changes are described as shifts in posting for existing SMPs, with a notable appointment that places a General Manager (Mining) into a Director-level role focused on Infrastructure.
One of the standout moves is Kishore Kumar Singh’s transfer from General Manager (Mining) to Area General Manager, Barora Area, continuing to oversee mining operations but from a different geographic vantage. Nirjhar Chakraborty follows a similar path, moving to Area General Manager, Barora Area after a spell as General Manager (Mining) in Sijua. In a high-profile shift, Satyakam Anand transitions to Director (Infrastructure) at JRDA, a role that will cease to be SMP upon release from the current assignment, illustrating the blend of continuity and functional elevation embedded in the plan.
The rest of the changes keep the SMP engine humming across the organization: Bishnu Kant Jha moves to Area General Manager, Katras Area (from Govindpur-adjacent duties via Katras), Manikant Pandey moves from Addl. General Manager, Katras Area to Area General Manager, Katras Area with SMP eligibility on charge, and Jayanta Kumar Das shifts from PB Area to EJ Area. Deepak Kumar Singh goes from Addl. General Manager, Govindpur Area to Area General Manager, PB Area (SMP upon charge), while S. K. Gaikwad and Arindam Mustafi relocate within the coordination framework at Bastacolla. Tuneshwar Paswan’s EJ involvement with R&D and Geology at BCCL HQ will cease to be SMP on release, marking another boundary between operational posting and formal SMP status. The changes take effect on the actual release from current assignments and the subsequent assumption of charge at the new postings, underscoring a leadership refresh that aims to align talent with established and emerging priorities across the company.
