Amber Enterprises reshapes leadership slate: SMP de-classified, CFO appointed for IL JIN, independent directors re-appointed

Amber Enterprises India Limited underscored a reshaping of its leadership slate in a board meeting on August 13, 2026. The company said it approved the de-classification of Senior Management Personnel, marking a shift in the internal hierarchy as the group redefines its leadership framework. Notably, Arvind Kumar Singh, the Chief Executive Officer of the Component Division, has retired, and Deep Mathpal and Abhishek Chaudhary have been de-classified from SMP status in line with the revised structure.

In a parallel move, the board approved the appointment of Sudhir Goyal as Chief Financial Officer of IL JIN Electronics (India) Private Limited, Amber’s material subsidiary, effective August 13, 2026. Goyal, the company’s finance architect since 2012, will assume the CFO role subject to shareholders’ approvals. His track record spans treasury, mergers and acquisitions, fund-raising, and financial controls, underscoring Amber’s continuing emphasis on disciplined growth and financial stewardship.

The board also reaffirmed governance with the re-appointment of Sabina Moti Bhavnani and Prakash Iyer as Non-Executive Independent Directors for a second five-year term from September 19, 2026, subject to member approval at the forthcoming AGM. Together with the ongoing leadership adjustments, the company is signaling a steady hand at the helm as it navigates expansion and integration across its business units.

Separately, Amber unveiled the notice for its 36th AGM, set for September 16, 2026, and confirmed the board’s intention to disseminate the notice to exchanges and publish extracts of the unaudited results. The moves reflect Amber’s intent to maintain governance continuity while pursuing its growth agenda across a rapidly expanding set of subsidiaries and ventures.
