Indraprastha Medical Corporation Limited, the operator behind Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, is noting a closing chapter in its governance as Vinayak Chatterjee wraps up his tenure as an Independent Director. After serving a second five-year term, Chatterjee ceased to be a Director and to hold the roles of Member and Chairperson of the board’s committees at the end of 31 March 2026. The move marks a natural renewal in the company’s independent oversight, a cornerstone of robust governance in the hospital group.
During his tenure, Chatterjee contributed as a value-adding Independent Director, including service as a member and chair of the respective board committees. His departure follows the customary term limit for independent directors and reflects the ongoing evolution of the board’s composition as the company navigates the healthcare landscape.
As Indraprastha Medical continues its governance journey, the board and management will look to maintain continuity and strengthen oversight through established governance processes. The company has indicated that it will communicate on future steps as they unfold, with adherence to governance best practices remaining a priority for the organization.
