Fusion Finance Limited disclosed after its board meeting on March 20, 2026, that it has accepted the resignation of Sanjay Mahajan from the role of Chief Information Officer. The board appointed Susheel Kumar Menon as the new Chief Information Officer, with Mr. Menon designated as Senior Managerial Personnel, effective the same date. In addition, Mr. Menon will continue to serve as Chief Information Security Officer on an interim basis, preserving leadership continuity across the company’s technology and security functions.
Susheel Kumar Menon brings more than 27 years of technology and cybersecurity leadership to the CIO post. Since April 8, 2024, he has been Fusion Finance’s Chief Information Security Officer, and before joining the company he held senior IT and security roles at Satin Creditcare Network Ltd., Bata India, Yum! Restaurants India, Ericsson, and Gillette India Ltd. His breadth spans enterprise security architecture, governance, program management, and digital transformation—expertise that will help align IT strategy with evolving regulatory and business priorities in a tightly regulated microfinance environment.
While stepping into a new role, Menon will also shoulder the interim CISO duties as the organization strengthens its cybersecurity posture. The move, recommended by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, signals a preference for internal succession and continuity at the executive level, reducing disruption in a time of rapid technology-driven change.
In a sector where customer data protection and regulatory expectations shape technology roadmaps, Fusion Finance’s leadership transition underscores a commitment to secure digital expansion while maintaining robust governance. The company’s investors and customers will be watching how this internal elevation translates into sharper execution of IT and security priorities in the months ahead.
