In a move underscoring governance continuity, International Conveyors Limited announced the re-appointment of Sunit Mehra as an Independent Director effective September 25, 2026, for a five-year term that will run through September 24, 2031. The decision was approved by shareholders at the company’s 53rd Annual General Meeting held on September 24, 2026, signaling confidence in the board’s current leadership as it steers the business forward.
Mehra brings a deep specialization in corporate governance to the board. He is credited with founding Third Sector Partners (TSP), India’s largest not-for-profit executive search firm for the development sector, which helped spawn Katalyst, an initiative focused on empowering academically bright underprivileged girls to assume C-suite roles in corporate India. His governance acumen is further complemented by his leadership roles beyond the corporate sphere.
Beyond his directorship, Mehra serves as the current Chairman of United Way of India and has held notable positions such as Vice Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce, Mumbai, and Treasurer of the Wharton Alumni Association of India. He earned a business degree in Marketing Management from the Wharton School of Business and holds an engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania, underscoring a blend of business and technical insight that the company will continue to leverage on the board.
Importantly for governance continuity, the re-appointment does not alter the composition of the board’s committees. Mehra will continue to serve on the Audit Committee as well as the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, reinforcing ongoing oversight and governance discipline as the company pursues its growth agenda.
