In a move designed to reinforce its financial backbone, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank Limited has named Manmohan Shetty as Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel, effective September 19, 2026. The appointment, approved by the board on the same date, follows recommendations from the bank’s Audit Committee and Nomination & Remuneration Committee and signals the lender’s intent to sharpen its financial leadership as it advances its growth agenda.
Shetty brings more than two decades of experience across banking, NBFCs and financial services. He has held leadership roles at Viksit Capital, Barclays Bank and Lehman Brothers, with broad exposure across controllership, budgeting, planning & analysis, treasury, compliance and financial management. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Commerce degree from Mumbai University.
For Utkarsh, the CFO role is pivotal as the bank scales its operations, strengthens governance and deepens risk management. Shetty will guide the bank’s financial strategy, capital planning, financial controls and reporting, aligning them with the institution’s customer-centric growth trajectory.
The leadership move underscores Utkarsh’s focus on attracting senior finance talent to steer the next phase of expansion, particularly as it navigates a wider footprint in microfinance and retail banking.
