Deepak Fertilisers creates two President roles to strengthen manufacturing leadership

Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited has formalised a sharpening of its manufacturing leadership, creating two distinct senior roles: President – Manufacturing Operations and President – Manufacturing Excellence & Technology Development. The appointments, effective 1 September 2026, slot Amir Alvi into the first role and elevate Pandurang Landge into the second as part of the company’s ongoing manufacturing evolution.

Amir Alvi brings more than 36 years of leadership across fertilizers and chemicals, spanning manufacturing, plant management, marketing, supply chain, end-to-end project execution, P&L management, and safety excellence. Before joining Deepak Fertilisers, he served as Executive VP & Head of Manufacturing at Coromandel International Ltd., progressing to Chief Operating Officer (Fertilizers), and earlier spent 23 years with Tata Chemicals Ltd.

Pandurang Landge, with 44 years of domestic and overseas experience in operations and project development, was already part of Deepak Fertilisers as President – Manufacturing. He is being redesignated as President – Manufacturing Excellence & Technology Development. His career began with Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers, where he oversaw world-scale ammonia plant operations; he spent two decades in Saudi Arabia leading a startup and partnerships involving government liaison and JV management. He holds a Graduate Degree in Chemical Engineering from UDCT, Mumbai University, and has been recognised for safety and sustainability achievements, including industry recognitions and awards.

The leadership realignment signals Deepak Fertilisers’ focus on operational excellence and technology-led growth as it looks to strengthen its manufacturing footprint.
