TVS Motor Company has unveiled a leadership transition, naming Peyman Kargar as Director and Chief Executive Officer, in the rank of Whole Time Director and Key Managerial Personnel. The appointment, approved by the board on 28 August 2026, will take effect from 27 January 2027 following a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Kargar, who currently serves as TVS Motor’s President – International Business, brings more than three decades of global automotive leadership across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, with experience spanning product development, manufacturing, sales and marketing, and strategic transformations.
Meanwhile, the company will see continuity on its top seat as K N Radhakrishnan continues as Director & CEO until 27 January 2027, after which he will transition to a Non-Executive Director role up to the ensuing AGM scheduled in July 2027. The arrangement is designed to ensure a seamless handover while maintaining leadership stability as TVS Motor accelerates its growth agenda.
The leadership transition comes as TVS Motor reported strong momentum, including a FY2025-26 performance that saw the company sell 5.9 million vehicles globally and deliver about 30% revenue growth. The move aligns with TVS Motor’s strategic focus on product innovation, premiumisation and expansion into developed markets, with Peyman Kargar expected to steer international growth and strengthen the company’s technology leadership and customer-centric approach.
Sudarshan Venu, Chairman of TVS Motor Company, framed the appointment as a pivotal step for the group’s future, highlighting Kargar’s global leadership experience and his track record in transforming brands. He also paid tribute to K N Radhakrishnan for his long-standing contributions and leadership, expressing confidence in a smooth transition and continued collaboration through the AGM timetable.
