National Aluminium Company Limited has appointed Neeraj as a Part-time Non-official Independent Director on its Board, effective 14 August 2026, for a term of three years. The appointment underscores Nalco’s ongoing focus on strengthening governance with experienced governance and legal acumen at the helm of board oversight.
Neeraj is a senior legal professional with over three decades of practice. He currently serves as Additional Advocate General, Haryana (2024–Present) and as President of the Central Delhi Court Bar Association, New Delhi (2025–Present). He is also a Member of the Special Committee of the Bar Council of Delhi, a statutory body under the Advocates Act, 1961. In addition, he serves as the General Secretary of Lawyer’s Voice, a national organization advocating for welfare and empowerment of weaker sections of society, and acts as Senior Central Government Standing Counsel before the Armed Forces Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi, representing the Union of India in matters concerning the Armed Forces.
His leadership journey extends to roles such as Honorary Secretary of the New Delhi Bar Association during 2009–10 and 2016–18, and historic involvement in institutional leadership dating back to his university days as President of the Students’ Union, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. Academically, Neeraj holds an L.L.B. and L.L.M. in Human Rights & Duties from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, and an M.Com from Agra University. With this blend of legal practice, public service, and institutional leadership, Nalco seeks to augment its board with seasoned insights into governance, regulatory considerations, and stakeholder accountability. He is not related to Directors or Key Managerial Personnel of the Company and is not debarred from holding the office of Director by any SEBI order or similar authority.
