Gillette India names Robin Thadathil as new Head of HR; Srinivas Patnam to depart

Gillette India Limited has announced a leadership transition in its senior management, with a change at the helm of its Human Resources function. Srinivas Maruthi Patnam, the company’s head of Human Resources, will resign to pursue other interests, effective March 31, 2026. The confirmation of Patnam’s departure comes alongside news of an internal appointment that signals continuity in the HR leadership agenda.

Robin Thadathil will take over as the company’s head of Human Resources, effective April 1, 2026. Thadathil’s career with Procter & Gamble spans more than 16 years, during which he has held HR roles across diverse markets including Singapore, the United States and Southeast Asia. In his most recent assignment, he led HR for Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam, while also serving as the Regional HR leader for the Olay brand and overseeing the Singapore office.

Patnam’s exit marks a step in Gillette India’s ongoing leadership realignment, while Thadathil’s appointment brings a global HR perspective to the local business. His background—with a mix of commercial, manufacturing and country-level HR experience—suggests a leadership approach that blends strategic thinking with a focus on inclusive workplaces and sustainable growth. As Gillette India continues to navigate a dynamic consumer market, the new HR chief’s track record could shape talent development, organizational culture and people-first initiatives across the organization.

Taken together, the move underscores Gillette India’s alignment with P&G’s broader HR playbook—an emphasis on leadership development, strong people practices and a resilient, growth-oriented culture that supports the company’s brand portfolio and market ambitions in India.
