Allcargo Logistics names Dinesh Kumar Lal as Chairman after Shashi Kiran Shetty’s resignation; board reshuffles governance committees

Allcargo Logistics is reshaping its leadership profile, with founder and long-time chair Shashi Kiran Shetty stepping down from the board and as Chairman, and Dinesh Kumar Lal stepping in as the new Chairman with effect from the close of business on August 5, 2026. The Board approved the transition, inviting Lal to helm board deliberations and chart the company’s governance posture as Allcargo moves into a new phase under fresh leadership.

Shetty’s departure closes a chapter defined by expansive growth and hands-on founder influence. The company recognizes his substantial contributions and leadership over the years, while signaling a move toward governance-led stewardship with Lal bringing extensive experience in logistics, strategy, operations, and corporate governance.

Alongside the Chairman transition, Allcargo announced a reconstitution of the Board committees. The Governance and Nomination & Remuneration Committee (GNRC) will include Hetal Madhukant Gandhi (Chairman), Radha Ahluwalia, and Dinesh Kumar Lal as a member. The Corporate Social Responsibility Committee (CSRC) comprises Arathi Shetty (Chairperson), Dinesh Kumar Lal (Member), and Hetal Madhukant Gandhi (Member). In the Risk Management, Finance, Strategy and Legal Committee (RMFSLC), Lal serves as Chairman with Sivaraman Narayanaswami and Ketan Nishikant Kulkarni (Executive Director) as members. The Stakeholders Relationship Committee (SRC) will have Radha Ahluwalia as Chairperson, with Lal and Kulkarni as members.
