Whirlpool of India Limited is reshaping its leadership bench with a trio of moves that underscores a shift in both operational and financial leadership within the group. In a board meeting held on August 5, 2026, the company outlined changes that span a cross‑group appointment and two executive moves, signaling a proactive refresh of its management slate.
Anish Ahuja, who has been Head- Service at Whirlpool of India Limited, will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer at Whirlpool of India Kitchen Appliances Limited (Elica India), a material subsidiary of the company. In his new role, he will report to Pralhad Bhutada, CEO & Managing Director of Elica India, with effect from September 1, 2026, marking a notable internal shift within the Whirlpool family as it strengthens frontline and operations leadership across its connected brands.
Separately, Ankit Gupta, the current Head- Manufacturing Finance, has tendered his resignation, effective August 14, 2026, to pursue opportunities outside the company. The move opens a leadership vacancy in the finance helm of the manufacturing function as Whirlpool charts its next phase.
To fill that gap, Sourav Chakravarty will be appointed Head- Manufacturing Finance, effective August 10, 2026, and will report to Aditya Jain, Executive Director and CFO of the Company. Chakravarty brings roughly 18 years of Chartered Accountant experience, with prior stints at ITC Limited and a track record in driving financial performance, large-scale capex projects, and digital transformation initiatives. The leadership realignment reflects Whirlpool’s focus on strengthening manufacturing finance and operational oversight as it navigates a dynamic market landscape.
