INEL Reappoints Two Independent Directors for Second Term

India Nippon Electricals Limited announced that shareholders at the 41st Annual General Meeting, held on July 30, 2026, approved the re-appointment of two independent directors for a second five-year term beginning August 10, 2026. The appointments are for Gangapriya Chakraverti and Heramb Ravindra Hajarnavis, who will each serve a further five-year tenure subject to approval and not liable to retire by rotation.

Gangapriya Chakraverti, an Independent Director, chairs the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the CSR Committee and serves on the SRC Committee. She joined the Board on August 10, 2022, bringing three decades of corporate experience across the Murugappa Group, Ford Motor Company’s Business Services, and Mercer Consulting. Her work has centered on leadership development, change management, executive coaching, total rewards, and diversity and inclusion, with notable leadership in transforming Ford Business Services into a global, multinational hub.

Heramb Ravindra Hajarnavis, another Independent Director, brings a strong background in private equity and technology-enabled services. He holds an MIT SB and an MBA from Harvard Business School, with an Aspen Institute Fellowship to his name. Hajarnavis founded SeaLink Capital Partners and previously led KKR’s Indian private equity activities from 2010 to 2014. He also serves as an Independent Director on Sundram Fasteners Limited and as an Additional Director on the Board of JM Financial Asset Management Limited, complementing INEL’s governance with deep investment and cross-border experience.

The approvals underscore INEL’s emphasis on governance continuity and independent oversight as the company advances its growth and transformation agenda.
