Everest Industries appoints Ujjal Bhattacharjee as CHRO to drive HR transformation

Everest Industries Limited has announced the appointment of Dr. Ujjal Bhattacharjee as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective July 16, 2026, placing him in the company’s senior management fold. The move signals Everest’s intent to sharpen its people strategy as it charts growth across its manufacturing footprint and strategic HR initiatives.

Dr. Bhattacharjee brings a broad and deep qualification set to the role, including a Ph.D. in Management from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, an MPM from Pune University, and a BSc (Chemistry Honors) from Ranchi University, among other legal and HR qualifications. His résumé also highlights a Global Advanced Management Program from ISB-Kellogg (Northwestern University) and multiple certifications in 360-degree feedback, MBTI, Predictive Index, and other leadership and HR assessment tools. With more than 25 years of experience across manufacturing, engineering, and automotive sectors, he has held senior HR roles at firms such as Foseco India Limited, GKN Sinter Metals India, Fresenius Kabi India, and most recently Biorad Medisys as Group Chief Human Resources Officer.

In his career, Bhattacharjee has partnered with business units to align people strategies with profitable growth, driving large-scale organizational transformations, culture-building efforts, leadership development, M&As, and digital HR initiatives. He has led efforts to set up and operationalize a Global Capability Centre (GCC) and various greenfield projects, bringing a track record of cross-border leadership across India, South Asia, and South Africa. Everest’s leadership transition into the CHRO role underscores the company’s focus on workforce excellence and organizational agility as it advances its growth agenda.
