Oberoi Realty Limited has appointed Stuart McConnachie as Chief Operating Officer – Construction, effective July 13, 2026. The move signals the Mumbai-based developer’s sharpened focus on on-the-ground execution as it advances a sizable pipeline of residential, retail and mixed-use projects. McConnachie steps into the role on a contractual basis, aligning with the company’s employment policy and bringing with him a global perspective to Oberoi Realty’s construction operations.
With more than 25 years of international experience, McConnachie has built a track record of delivering large-scale residential, retail, hospitality and mixed-use developments. His expertise spans stakeholder management, strategic leadership, project planning and execution, design management, contract administration, construction management and project controls. A civil engineer by training, he is a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) and a Member of the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI).
Industry watchers will be looking to see how this leadership move translates into delivery across Oberoi Realty’s expanding project slate, where complexity—from design integration to supply chains and quality controls—continues to pose challenges. McConnachie’s breadth of experience could help strengthen governance, align design and construction, and tighten controls in a market where timelines and budgets are closely scrutinized. The appointment underscores Oberoi Realty’s intent to embed execution excellence at the heart of its growth strategy.
As Oberoi Realty presses ahead with ambitious projects, McConnachie’s arrival signals a notable shift in the company’s leadership bench, reinforcing a disciplined, outcomes-focused approach to construction management amid a competitive real estate cycle.
