Avantel Limited is reshaping its leadership slate as it clears a trio of governance moves and a refreshed committee structure. In a board meeting held on July 11, 2026, the company approved the re-appointment of Abburi Siddhartha Sagar as Executive Director (Strategy & Business Development) for a five-year term from March 8, 2027 to March 7, 2032, with the appointment to be subject to member approval via postal ballot. The same meeting also sanctioned the appointment of Peddi Bala Bhaskar Rao as an Additional Director designated as Director (Operations) for a three-year term from July 11, 2026 to July 10, 2029, again subject to member approval. Additionally, the board-approved re-appointment of Vyasabhattu Ramchander as an Independent Director for a second five-year term from May 6, 2027 to May 5, 2032, contingent on member consent through a postal ballot.
Abburi Siddhartha Sagar, aged 38, holds a Master’s in Computer Science and an MBA, with more than 15 years of experience guiding technology and strategic business initiatives. He has been instrumental in steering Avantel’s strategic thrusts, market expansion and operational excellence, and serves on the Risk Management Committee as well as on the boards of related entities. Peddi Bala Bhaskar Rao brings over 30 years of expertise in RF systems, electronic warfare, satellite communications and programme management. He currently heads multiple support functions at Avantel—marketing, HR, quality assurance, materials management and customer support—and has played a key role in defence programmes for naval and DRDO/ISRO stakeholders. The 72-year-old Ramchander, a veteran in project finance and governance, is noted for his leadership roles across finance and corporate governance and currently serves as Commission Secretary of the Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission, while also chairing Avantel’s Audit and CSR committees.
Beyond individual appointments, Avantel also announced the reconstitution of key governance committees with immediate effect. The Audit Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and Stakeholders Relationship Committee will now operate under refreshed member rosters, reinforcing the board’s oversight of strategy, risk and stakeholder engagement. Collectively, the moves signal Avantel’s intent to deepen strategic execution, strengthen governance and ensure continuity in its leadership as it pursues growth across core markets.
