Ashima Limited has announced the appointment of Uttara Chintan Parikh as an Additional Director on its board in the category of Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, with effect from July 1, 2026. The appointment is subject to the approval of Ashima’s shareholders.
Parikh brings a blend of financial and entrepreneurial experience, holding a graduate degree from the London School of Economics and an MBA from the London Business School. She has built a career as an investment banker and an e-commerce entrepreneur. She currently serves as a director of Saumya Constructions Private Limited, which has acted as Development Advisor to Ashima Limited for its ongoing real estate projects, Swan Lake and The Sovereign.
The announcement also notes family-linked leadership on Ashima’s board: Parikh is the daughter of Chintan N. Parikh, the Chairman and Managing Director of the company, and the sister of Krishnachintan Parikh, an Executive Director. The move is framed as a step toward broadening governance perspectives while aligning with Ashima’s strategic growth agenda.
Ashima added that Parikh is not debarred from holding the office of director and that the appointment, being an Additional Director, is liable to retire by rotation and will require shareholders’ approval. The company highlights her areas of expertise—marketing, business strategy, and data analytics—as assets for guiding Ashima’s ongoing and future projects.
