Richard Miller Named Global Head of Insurance at Mphasis

Mphasis has appointed Richard Miller as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Insurance Business, effective April 27, 2026, signaling a sharpened focus on AI-led transformation for insurers. The move places a seasoned leader at the helm of the company’s global insurance strategy at a time when digital modernization and intelligent automation are becoming mission-critical for the sector.

Miller brings more than three decades of enterprise-transformation experience across the financial services and insurance landscapes. Most recently, he was the CEO and co-founder of REMVENTION.AI, an applied AI practice focused on systems of intelligence for highly regulated industries. Previously, he spent 35 years at Accenture, leading large-scale modernization and reinvention programs for insurers and financial institutions, and earlier spearheaded international expansion at NaviSys, Inc. This blend of hands-on execution and strategic vision underpins the profile Mphasis highlighted in its announcement.

In his new role, Miller will guide Mphasis’ global insurance strategy, helping carriers modernize operations, transform core business processes, and harness AI to generate measurable value. Nitin Rakesh, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Mphasis, described the appointment as a strategic step as insurance remains a key growth driver for the firm and emphasized Miller’s deep industry expertise. Miller himself emphasized joining at an inflection point for the insurance industry and expressed enthusiasm about delivering AI-powered innovation in partnership with Mphasis’ leadership. The move sits within a broader Mphasis narrative of AI-led, platform-driven transformation, anchored by its NeoIP AI platform and the Front2Back transformation framework, as the company continues to push for secure, cloud-first enterprise evolution across clients.
