Supreme Petrochem Reappoints Nageswaran Gopal as Manager for Three More Years

In a move aimed at ensuring continuity in operational leadership, Supreme Petrochem Limited announced the re-appointment of Nageswaran Gopal as Manager for a further term of about three years, effective April 20, 2026 through March 31, 2029, subject to member approval at the forthcoming AGM. The appointment underscores the company’s emphasis on seasoned leadership at the helm of its day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives as it advances its expansion agenda.

Gopal is a long-time veteran within Supreme Petrochem, associated with the company for roughly 36 years and bringing an estimated 57 years of total experience in the petrochemical sector. His career includes stints with renowned players such as ICI Petrochemicals Division (UK), Indian Petrochemical Corporation Limited (IPCL), and Reliance Industries Limited. In his current remit, he oversees manufacturing operations, technology support, strategic projects, and supply chain management across the company’s plants at Amdoshi, Maharashtra and Manali, Chennai. Notably, he steered the grassroots establishment of the company’s Polystyrene plant, a project that began at 66,000 TPA and was subsequently expanded to 300,000 TPA, reflecting his influence on the company’s growth trajectory.

The board’s decision to extend Gopal’s tenure signals a focus on continuity in execution as Supreme Petrochem pursues continued expansion in its styrenics and allied products portfolio. With the AGM slated for July 14, 2026, stakeholders will have the opportunity to endorse this leadership continuity as the company advances its plans, including further expansion and potential new developments in its manufacturing footprint.
