Trent Limited appoints Bahram Vakil as Additional Director; reappoints Ravneet Gill and Hema Ravichandar as Independent Directors

Trent Limited signaled a refresh of its governance line-up as it appointed Bahram Vakil as an Additional Director, a non-executive, non-independent role, effective 23 April 2026. Vakil, a co-founder of AZB & Partners, is among India’s foremost lawyers in restructuring, insolvency and project finance, with a track record advising distressed funds, banks and policy makers. His appointment, coming ahead of the next AGM, is expected to add seasoned governance and deal-making perspective to Trent’s boardroom.

Separately, the company’s board approved the re-appointments of Ravneet Singh Gill and Hema Ravichandar as Independent Directors for a second five-year term from 29 December 2026 to 28 December 2031, subject to shareholder approval. Gill, who previously led YES Bank as MD & CEO, brings deep banking and risk-management experience. Ravichandar, a veteran HR strategist who led Infosys Technologies Limited as Senior Vice President and Global Head of HR until 2005, offers governance and people strategy ballast.

The moves underscore Trent’s focus on governance continuity as it navigates growth ambitions in the years ahead. The announcements were made after the board met on 22 April 2026, reflecting a deliberate refresh of the board’s leadership to support the company’s strategic trajectory.
