Garuda Construction and Engineering Limited announced on April 21, 2026, that its board has approved the appointment of Dhruti Harsh Satia as a Non-Executive Independent Director (Additional Director). She will hold office from today until the date of the company’s next general meeting or until her appointment is regularized by the shareholders, whichever happens earlier, following recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Ms Satia brings a background in company secretarial practice. She holds a Bachelors in Commerce from Mumbai University and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India since 2015. Her prior roles include Company Secretary at Mercury Trade Links Limited, a BSE-listed company, where she led group secretarial work, and she previously served as assistant Company Secretary to Essel Finance Wealth Zone Private Limited. She has also worked with B.S. Sharma & Co., a Chartered Accountant firm.
The board underscored her independence, noting that she meets the independence criteria under the Companies Act and SEBI’s listing norms, and confirmed she is not debarred from holding the office of director. The appointment signals Garuda’s ongoing focus on strengthened governance and external oversight as it advances its project portfolio and growth strategy.
With Satia’s arrival, Garuda gains an external governance perspective that may enrich discussions on risk, compliance, and long-term value creation for stakeholders.
