Sigma Advanced Systems Strengthens Board With Independent Director Appointment and Non-Executive Director Appointment

Sigma Advanced Systems Limited has expanded its board with two new directors, signaling a deliberate move to strengthen governance and broaden strategic perspectives. The company has appointed Venkata Nagendra Prasad Thatipamula as an Independent Non-Executive Director for a five-year term, effective March 16, 2026, alongside Kartheek Raju Chintalapati as a Non-Executive Director, also effective March 16, 2026. Both appointments are planned to continue until the next general meeting or until a specified later date, whichever comes first.

Venkata Nagendra Prasad Thatipamula arrives on the board after a long career in public service, most notably as a diplomat with the Indian Foreign Service and as Ambassador of India to Kazakhstan. His background spans decades of international assignments and governance initiatives, including leadership roles in large-scale government platforms. His appointment is positioned to bring an external, policy-informed, and globally attuned governance voice to Sigma’s board room.

Kartheek Raju Chintalapati comes into the board as a Non-Executive Director with a strong private-sector track record. Described as a second-generation entrepreneur, he has led diversification efforts at iLabs Group across technology, pharmaceuticals, energy, defense, and manufacturing, and has deep experience in corporate strategy, capital allocation, and building high-performance teams. His presence on the board is expected to complement the company’s growth ambitions with hands-on strategic and operational insight.

Together, these moves reflect Sigma Advanced Systems’ ongoing commitment to strengthening board oversight and strategic leadership as it navigates an increasingly dynamic market landscape. The appointments underscore a blend of international governance experience and private-sector execution capability, signaling a boardroom that aims to balance risk oversight with growth-oriented stewardship.
