Sadhana Nitrochem Limited has announced a leadership move aimed at strengthening its board governance. The company’s Board, via circular resolution on March 7, 2026, approved the appointment of Sindhu Suneer Kotian as a Non-Executive Independent Director for a five-year term, from March 7, 2026 to March 6, 2031, subject to shareholder approval. The decision follows a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, underscoring the group’s focus on expanding independent oversight as part of its governance framework.
Sindhu Suneer Kotian brings a pronounced legal and advisory background to the board, with more than 25 years of experience spanning litigation, arbitration, corporate advisory, and media and entertainment law. She is an advocate practicing at the Bombay High Court, holds a postgraduate degree in Commercial and International Law from the University of Mumbai, and has been recognised with awards such as the Legal Era 40 Under 40 Legal Counsel (2016). Her practice has included appearances before the Supreme Court and a range of High Courts, representing corporates, startups, government entities, and media companies.
Industry observers view the appointment as a signal of Sadhana Nitrochem’s intent to bolster independent governance and broaden board expertise during a period of growth. Kotian’s diversified legal and commercial background is expected to complement the board’s oversight of strategy, risk, and stakeholder interests as the company navigates its next phase. The company notes that Kotian is not debarred from holding directorships and will join the board subject to shareholder sanction.
As Sadhana Nitrochem sharpens its leadership profile, the move reflects a broader industry trend of energising boards with seasoned professionals who can provide independent judgment while navigating complex regulatory and market dynamics.
