Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has named Baldev Singh as Executive Director (Civil), elevating him to the senior management fold with effect from 12 March 2026. The appointment signals the company’s continued emphasis on strengthening civil engineering leadership as it steers a portfolio of complex rail infrastructure projects across its network.
Baldev Singh is an IRSE officer from the 1996 batch, a Civil Engineer with about 27 years of experience in Indian Railways. Before joining RVNL, he served as Chief Vigilance Officer/Engineering in N.F. Railway and has held key roles such as ADRM and Senior Divisional Engineer. His track record spans project execution, PPP/EPC ventures, and railway operations, including leadership of major initiatives like the Rani Kamlapati (Habibganj) station redevelopment and the Gandhinagar station–hotel project, alongside large-scale track renewals and restoration works.
Industry observers may view Singh’s appointment as aligning RVNL’s civil execution capability with its growth agenda, leveraging his deep on-ground expertise to advance complex civil works and integrated rail solutions. His tenure is set to run till superannuation, underscoring RVNL’s strategy to embed seasoned leadership within its senior management as the company navigates an ambitious project pipeline.
