PNB appoints Sanjeev Kumar Dhupar as Chief Manager for Agriculture, Priority Sector and Financial Inclusion at Head Office

Punjab National Bank has announced a leadership reshuffle, with Sanjeev Kumar Dhupar moving from a chairman’s role at a regional rural bank to a senior position at the lender’s head office. In an exchange filing dated 05.03.2026, the bank said that Dhupar, presently Chairman (Scale VIII) of RRB Haryana Gramin Bank, Rohtak, has been appointed Chief Manager of the Agriculture & Priority Sector and Financial Inclusion Division, Head Office. The effective date noted is 05.03.2026. Dhupar is also listed as holding membership as a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIB) and brings more than three decades of banking experience to the new assignment.

This transition signals PNB’s ongoing focus on strengthening its footprint in agriculture and financial inclusion, channeling a veteran banker into a central role within the Head Office. The move aligns with the bank’s strategic push in priority sectors and inclusive banking, leveraging Dhupar’s long-standing experience across the sector to drive execution in a pivotal division.

Industry observers will watch how the shift translates into on-ground outcomes for agricultural finance and inclusive banking initiatives. With Dhupar stepping into this key Chief Manager role, PNB appears poised to intensify its emphasis on delivering credit to farmers and underserved segments while coordinating cross-divisional efforts from the central administration.
