IREDA loses two independent directors as tenure ends

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has announced a leadership transition on its board. Two independent directors have completed their tenure and ceased to be part of the board with effect from March 6, 2026, following an order from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy issued in 2023. The individuals affected are Rohini Rawat and Ram Nihal Nishad, who served as Part-time Non-Official Independent Directors during their tenure.

Their exit marks a routine governance refresh as IREDA continues to fulfill its mandate to support the growth of renewable energy in the country. Moving ahead, the company is expected to review and appoint suitable successors in line with regulatory guidelines and the board’s ongoing governance needs.
