IFB Industries Names Arup Das as Executive Director to Steer Interim Leadership Phase

In a move aimed at ensuring continuity during a period of leadership transition, IFB Industries Limited has named Arup Das as an Executive Director, effective March 28, 2026. Described as an interim appointment, the decision aligns with the board’s plan to bridge leadership until a new Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director steps in.

Arup Das, a long-time IFB executive, brings a deep reservoir of institution-specific knowledge to the role. At around 64 years of age, he has spent more than three decades with IFB since 1992, holding various leadership posts within the Engineering Division, including head roles in Heat Treatment, New Product Development, Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales. He currently serves as President – M&A and New Projects, a portfolio that positions him to steer strategic growth and oversee critical projects during the transition.

The appointment underscores a focus on continuity and internal leadership as IFB charts its next steps. Das’s extensive experience across multiple functions and his intimate understanding of the company’s operations are expected to contribute to steady execution of ongoing initiatives and potential inorganic growth opportunities. The board’s decision reflects confidence in an internal leader who has long been integrated into IFB’s strategic machinery.
