Greaves Cotton appoints Manish Poddar as Group Chief Financial Officer as Akhila Balachandar resigns

Greaves Cotton Limited disclosed a leadership transition in its finance leadership, confirming that Akhila Balachandar has resigned from the position of Chief Financial Officer with effect from 19 March 2026. The Board, acting on the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee, approved the appointment of Manish Poddar as Group Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel, also effective 19 March 2026.

Mr. Poddar arrives with more than 25 years in finance, treasury, investor relations, governance and strategic business partnering. He has previously served as Chief Financial Officer of GMM Pfaudler Limited and GreenCell Mobility Private Limited, and has held senior finance leadership roles at Diversey India Hygiene Private Limited, Ranbaxy/Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited and Louis Dreyfus India Limited. He is a Chartered Accountant, with an Executive MBA (Finance) and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delhi.

In the same communication, the company noted that Parag Satpute will continue as Managing Director & Group CEO, and Atindra Basu will continue as Group General Counsel & Company Secretary. The announcement also outlined governance provisions empowering designated officials to determine materiality of events and ensure timely disclosures to the stock exchanges going forward.

The move signals Greaves Cotton’s emphasis on strengthened financial leadership and continuity at the top of the company’s executive team as it pursues its growth and strategic agenda.
