Vora brings more than four decades of experience in the automotive sector and academia. His career spans stints with Walchandnagar Industries, Emitec, Mahindra & Mahindra, and the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), where he superannuated in 2021 as Senior Deputy Director and Head of the ARAI Academy. He currently serves as Program Director – Automotive CoE at NAMTECH, located in IIT Gandhinagar Research Park, and also works as a consultant to the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), chairing its Expert Group on Electric Vehicles. His scholarly footprint includes 120+ technical papers, four books, and four patents, alongside a long-standing involvement with BAJA SAEINDIA for education and talent development in the automotive sector.
The appointment is for a three-year term as an Independent Director, though subject to shareholder approval as per regulatory requirements. Notably, he is not related to any director of the company and is not debarred from holding office by SEBI or any other authority.
