Everest Industries names Niranjan Gokhale as Internal Auditor and Chief Risk Officer

Everest Industries Limited’s board has formalized a leadership move that underscores the company’s focus on strengthening governance. In a meeting held on March 26, 2026, the Board approved the appointment of Niranjan Gokhale – Head Strategy – as Internal Auditor and Chief Risk Officer of the company with effect from April 8, 2026. This follows the company’s earlier intimation regarding the resignation of the existing Internal Auditor and Chief Risk Officer, effective April 7, 2026, and the Audit Committee’s recommendation to elevate Mr. Gokhale to ensure continuity in the role.

Mr. Gokhale brings a rich, multi-decade background in strategy, risk and operations. His academic credentials span an MBA from McMaster University (Canada), an MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Lehigh University (USA), and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Pune. He is also certified by the American Production and Inventory Control Society. Over more than 30 years, he has led growth and diversification initiatives across multiple industries and geographies, including North America, India and South Africa, with exposure to automotive, chemicals, construction, engineering and renewables among others. His career includes leadership stints at Ford Motor Company, Tata Industries, Cummins, Deepak Fertilizers and Foskor, preceded by a formative period at Coopers & Lybrand in New York.

Importantly for Everest, Mr. Gokhale has been serving the company for the past six years as Head-Strategy, encompassing internal control systems and risk management. The board’s decision signals a commitment to continuity in internal governance as Everest navigates its evolving business landscape. While the company continues the process of identifying a new Internal Auditor and Chief Risk Officer, the elevation of Mr. Gokhale aligns with Everest’s emphasis on robust risk oversight and strategic execution at the highest levels of management.
