AXISCADES appoints Giridhar Aramane as Non-Executive Independent Director to strengthen governance

AXISCADES Technologies Limited has sharpened its governance lens with the appointment of Giridhar Aramane as a Non-Executive Independent Director, effective March 26, 2026. The move, approved by the board and slated to take effect subject to shareholder approval, signals the company’s intent to bolster strategic oversight with a veteran administrator who has steered policy at the highest levels of government.

Aramane brings more than three decades of public-sector leadership to AXISCADES. The 1988 IAS officer from the Andhra Pradesh cadre has served as Defence Secretary to the Government of India from November 2022 until his retirement in 2024, and prior to that led the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways as Secretary from 2020. His career also embraces the Cabinet Secretariat as Additional Secretary and a range of roles across petroleum, finance, urban development, and regulatory bodies, underscoring a breadth of cross-cutting governance and policy expertise.

In addition to his government service, Aramane has held multiple board roles, including Non-Executive Director positions at Cyient DLM Limited (since November 2025), IL&FS (appointed May 2025), and Go Digit General Insurance, among others. He has also engaged with infrastructure-focused initiatives through Raajmarg Infra Investment Managers and provided advisory and academic input via bodies like IIIT Bangalore and ITS India Forum. This constellation of roles positions him as a connector between public policy and corporate governance.

AXISCADES, formerly AXISCADES Engineering Technologies, stands to gain from Aramane’s macro-level perspective on policy, governance, and large-scale project execution. His appointment is designed to strengthen the board’s oversight and strategic guidance as the company navigates a dynamic engineering and technology landscape, with emphasis on responsible governance and sustainable growth.
