MSTC Limited navigates leadership transition as Director (Commercial) retires; MD to take interim charge

MSTC Limited is navigating a leadership transition as it marks the retirement of a key executive and ensures continuity at the helm of its commercial functions. Smt. Bhanu Kumar will cease to be the Director (Commercial) of the company with effect from the close of business hours on 31 October 2026, upon attaining superannuation. The development underscoring governance continuity comes as the company looks to maintain momentum in its commercial agenda without a disruption to its ongoing operations.

In the meantime, Shri Manobendra Ghoshal, the Chairman & Managing Director of MSTC Limited, will assume the additional charge of Director (Commercial) for an initial period of three months. The arrangement will run from 1 November 2026 to 31 January 2027, or until the appointment and joining of a regular incumbent, or until further orders from the administrative ministry, whichever occurs earliest. The move signals a structured interim leadership plan aimed at sustaining strategic priorities during the transition window.

As MSTC frames its leadership contingency, the interim shift places responsibility for the commercial portfolio squarely with the company’s top executive. The company has indicated that the arrangement is temporary, with a clear timeline tied to the appointment process for a permanent Director (Commercial). This approach aligns with a broader objective of ensuring uninterrupted governance and strategic execution while regulatory and administrative steps unfold.
