Container Corporation of India Limited, the Navratna logistics champion known as CONCOR, has appointed Anand Saklecha as Non-Official (Independent) Director on its board, effective October 12, 2026. The move, communicated in a letter referencing an order from the Ministry of Railways, comes with a three-year term and aligns with CONCOR’s ongoing governance refresh as it operates as a multi-modal logistics enterprise under the government’s banner.
Anand Saklecha brings over 25 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, audit and risk management. A Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Cost Accountant (CMA), his career spans financial reporting, capital structuring, corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, M&A, valuation, due diligence and business restructuring. His background includes exposure to startups and the venture capital ecosystem, along with professional associations with ICAI Committee on MSME & Startups, JIIF, World Business Angels Investment Forum and Indian Angel Network, providing him with a broad perspective on governance and strategic finance.
Boardroom governance is set to gain a measured, independent voice with Saklecha’s inclusion. The company notes that he is not debarred from holding the office of director by SEBI or any other authority and that he has no related-party ties with other directors, reinforcing his objective, independent stance to contribute to board oversight on governance, risk and strategic direction.
With this appointment, CONCOR—the state-backed multimodal logistics player—continues to strengthen its governance framework as it scales operations across rail, road and maritime corridors, underscoring a commitment to robust leadership at the helm of its board.
