Windlas Biotech Adds Two Independent Directors as Independent Director Vivek Dhariwal Resigns

Windlas Biotech Limited has kicked off a quiet but meaningful board refresh, unveiling the appointment of two Independent Directors as part of its governance push. The board has approved the appointment of Aashish Mehra and Soni Saran Singh as Additional Directors/Independent Directors, each for a term of five consecutive years starting October 12, 2026, subject to shareholder approval. The moves, announced by the company on the eve of a new governance cycle, underscore Windlas Biotech’s intent to bolster strategic oversight while maintaining continuity on its leadership slate.

Aashish Mehra comes to Windlas Biotech with a background grounded in manufacturing sciences and management. He holds a B.Tech in Manufacturing Science and Engineering from IIT Delhi and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer-Aided Management from IIM Calcutta. Company observers note his two-plus decades in strategy, consulting, and leadership, with notable exposure to the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, positioning him as a governance-focused addition to the board.

Soni Saran Singh brings a complementary entrepreneurial and technology-forward profile. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management from the Institute of Marketing & Management, New Delhi. Notably, he is the Founder, Managing Director & CEO of NMTronics India Pvt. Limited and its affiliated entities, a background that aligns with Windlas Biotech’s growth ambitions in tech-enabled healthcare solutions.

The change also marks a notable transition as Vivek Dhariwal resigns from his role as Independent Director, effective close of business hours on October 12, 2026, citing personal reasons and prior commitments. Dhariwal will also cease to be the Chairman of the Board and a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. Windlas Biotech expressed appreciation for his contributions and looks to harness the fresh leadership energy to steer governance and strategic initiatives in the years ahead.
